New Packaging Project

This is the new project that I uploaded to my website on Wednesday. It's really just my own take on the Whittard of Chelsea hot chocolates. I love their current packaging so I kept a few aspects of it since they work really well. These ones are slightly taller and slimmer than the current packaging and the layout is simple and to the point on both the front and back. It was great working on a cylindrical wrapper as it's not something I've done before now and its been a while since I worked on something 3D. Originally I had considered making two of my own flavours, cherry and vanilla but I decided 5 was really enough without adding any extra.

Now that it's Autumn I'm having a bit of trouble with my photography studio (a.k.a outside in daylight) because it's really wet and windy, so I took the photos indoors but some of them came out great despite the dim lighting. You can have a proper look at the project on my website www.lorenharrison.co.uk

Feel good drinks poster

I've uploaded my new Feel Good Drinks poster to my website. It's really my first poster for this kind of advertising and I had loads of fun with it. I had the idea for this one very quickly and the illustrations for the poster were made and put together very quickly too which was great because it meant I didn't get bored or frustrated with it. Actually piecing it together on screen was a different story though but I have to admit the time I was working with it on screen was extremely fragmented. In the end the most effective communication was the simplest.

Online Shop Sorted!

You may have noticed my shop disappeared for a bit there. Well it's back again safe and sound now. There's not much on it at the moment but the stuff that's there is new (mostly work I've been doing over the summer). I'll continue to add more new and previous work so keep an eye on it.

New Plain Cards for Scarlet Ribbons

The lovely gift shop Scarlet Ribbons liked my ladybird greetings card and asked if I had any more like it (ones that didn't have a specific greeting or were fairly genderless) so I made a few more designs and they decided to stock them. These can be used for pretty much any situation as they are completely ambiguous, giving you the chance to write your own personal message. They were great fun to make as I just felt like I was doing a bit of personal work without the pressure of a brief. If you happen to be in Falkirk and looking for a gift or cards then Scarlet ribbons is just across from Asda car park on Glebe St.
